Making Corsets by Julie Collins Brealey, “A Brief History of the Corset” tells how, through the centuries, corsets have been worn to accentuate the female body shape and create silhouettes.  These corsets pulled the waist in and pushed the breasts up, probably like today’s “Wonder Bra”.
